How is The Botanical Cakery different from other cakeries? Please see here for more information xx
What size cake do I need? – To confirm what size cake you will require, please advise the serving requirements you feel will be used at your event. The below serving/cutting options will help us to determine what you will need to ensure enough cake for all guests.
Coffee serves (1 x 1 x 3″): This is what is typically served at weddings after a 3-course meal. A small cupcake-like serve. You will get double the portions using this cutting option compared to the ‘dessert’ serve, below.
Dessert serve (1 x 1 x 6”): Generous in size and what would be served as a perfect portion when the cake is the primary dessert option.
What is the best way to cut tall cakes? Please refer to the A5 cutting guide, supplied on delivery/pick up of your cake. Or please see my Instagram highlight for a visual cutting guide.
What is the best way to store my cake? Please store your cake in its original box in a cool, dry room out of direct sunlight if consuming within 3 hours. Otherwise, refrigeration is best – allowing the cake to come to room temp for 1-2 hours (cool/dry room) before consuming for best taste and texture.
How do I transport my cake? Each cake is supplied with a box and secure cake board. You can safely transport your cake by placing it on a flat surface in your vehicle – on the floor or the boot with the air-conditioner on. Or a passenger can hold it for more stability. For all wedding and larger cakes, delivery is preferred, subject to availability (fees apply).
Do you offer delivery? Yes, the delivery fee is $40.00 for within 40mins of Dunsborough, $65.00 for within 65 mins. Please contact me if you would like to discuss delivery for all other areas outside of these time frames. (Pick-ups are between Wed – Fri 10am-2pm, or Sat/Sun 9am-2pm).
Is ‘The Botanical Cakery’ a NUT FREE kitchen? Apologies; our kitchen is NOT NUT-FREE. Please be conscious of this when serving your cake to guests.
Do you offer vegan and gluten-free cakes? As I am a whole food cake maker, I use ingredients that are as natural and unrefined as possible. Free from additives and artificial substances. Many gluten-free and vegan products are highly refined and for this reason, my gluten-free and vegan options are very limited. Please touch base with me via the ‘custom cake order form’ to discuss your requirements.
Decorations – For all additional features on your cake (chocolate shards, macarons, edible flowers, meringues, custom cake topper, deluxe blooms etc) please advise what you would like added with as much detail as possible to ensure an accurate quote is achieved.
